“You didn’t really make that…Did you?”

- my loving husband

Thank you Eddie Ross. First, you provided a great little tutorial that I know MANY bloggers have copied and even though I heard it was so easy, I just didn’t believe it until I did it myself.

Sarah, Miss Thrifty herself also gave some great tips that I followed faithfully, except for the cheap wire thing. You will see later how that played a part in my only road block.

I hit the dollar store and loaded up on 7 packages of 5 balls with a goldish, silverish theme. I also got one 12 small ball package. 8 dollars total.

One wire hanger from the dry cleaners and a plan.

I hear someone say that the plan was the most important part and since I am just not a go for it and see kind of gal. I basically drew out a pattern that would use all the small ones equally. I came up with 4 balls, one small, 3 balls, one small and repeated. My picture to myself looked like this {●●●●S●●●S●●●●S●●●S} I actually felt I needed to write this down to remember. Scary.

I hot glued the posts on and strung the balls all in about 10 minutes. Seriously.

Then I hit a rough spot.

I don’t think this is what the wire  is suppose to look like.

Enter ribbon.

And secondly, thank you for decor validation from my husband.

So I asked him, “Did you see the wreath I made?” Granted it had been hung the whole day on the door to the garage in the main hallway. Not easy to miss but that is not the point. He said no, and went to take a look. Then he came back and said, “You didn’t really make that, did you? It just looks so good.”

Ahhhh…so much validation and love right there. I felt so proud. Then of course I took him through the numbers for a standing ovation.

You should try it and let me know if it works for you!

♥ Katie

It looks fabulous. I love the bow you chose.
I’m so sorry I haven’t been by much. Google has had my blog so messed up that I have spent hours daily trying to get it fixed and they have no idea how to help.
I have missed coming by. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and make some wonderful memories.
