Black, White and Loved All Over!

Posted: December 1st, 2009 | Author: Katie | Filed under: Simple Solutions |

I guess I could be talking about a newspaper but instead I’m talking about my new book wreath! Did any of you see Lindsey’s tutorial about her book wreaths?

I’m telling you, I was in love at first sight and couldn’t believe it was that easy to make!
I bought the 10″ wreath at the Dollar Tree but I just used a book that I already had on my book shelf. I even did most of it while talking on the phone - right Andrea?!! It just kept looking better and better as I kept on talking!

The only two downfalls I found:
1. Take Lindsey’s advice and really use a hot glue tool like a pencil. Only one burn on the tip of my finger but it hurt like the dickens…
2. If you are a bit complusive like me, this might take you a while only because I just kept finding more spots to roll and glue the pages into. I thought I was done probably 5 times, but just kept going.

But ONE DOLLAR and a minor hot glue gun burn later….

Thank you Lindsey for all the inspiration and the wonderful tutorial! Now I’m off to make the Eddie Ross Wreath that everybody is writing about!

I love it. How great did it turn out? Makes me want to make one but you know I won’t because there will be no decorating at our house this year because we just moved in. I am going to make Eddie Ross’s wreath next year. I love that one too.
