Birds of a Feather Flock Together…

Posted: December 29th, 2009 | Author: Katie | Filed under: Simple Solutions |

I seem to have birds flying around the house lately…

I think it all started with the Free Glidden Paint Giveaway. What did you use yours for?

I went all out and got a teal color that I would normally NEVER use in my home, but I was inspired by some 4 year old art

And turned a small little glass bird into a matching blue bird:

I changed my card frame and sat it next to my love verse jars:

I also received two birds for Christmas - one, an ornament from Pottery Barn….

and the other was a sweet one that I hung from my wrought iron brackets in the doorway to my office:

I could even rest it in my paper wreath like Lindsey has on hers… (it’s like Where’s Waldo Bird?!)

My husband is okay with them too, as long as they are NOT real ones. Yes, we have had a couple fly into our house in the past — lets just say he was alone and under the blankets calling my sister-in-law for help! Oh if I only had a picture of that!

Oh, do I wish you had pictures of that. That would hold some leverage over him if you ever wanted something done:) Blackmail for a honey-do. Good trade off in my opinion. LOL

I love the brackets going to your office - not that this post was about those, but just wanted to comment!

Love your birdies. :) I think my fave is the one you have hanging from the brackets. Pretty! I’m visiting from Sarah’s party. :) Hope you might stop by. Here’s my link:
